I follow that Substack too. I agree, there's a lot of evidence that medication contributes to the kind of mental issues that drive this behavior. Whether it makes non-violent people act violently, or just lowers the inhibitions against pre-existing violent tendencies is, I think, yet unclear. Either way, forceful resistance still seems to be the most effective way to stop an attacker.
