Even Dr. Robert Malone thought they wouldn’t do it, but the CDC’s ACIP panel voted unanimously to recommend COVID shots for children. In the face of massive public opposition, the argument of the fact-checkers is simply that, “State officials consider the CDC advisory committee’s recommendations when setting vaccine requirements, but experts said no state follows CDC recommendations to the letter.”
So, there you have it. They can say whatever they want, but if states don’t want to comply, they don’t have to.
It’s now up to us to make sure our states don’t comply.
In an earlier post, I shared the letter I sent to my state’s governor, with the suggestion that anyone short on time (or patience) could quickly personalize it and send it as well. Gratifyingly, quite a few people did so. It’s not the best letter, but it’s clear, and it avoids confrontational language that might lead to repercussions. More importantly, it’s something.
Because what we need now is VOLUME.
We, the “silenced majority” need to MAKE SOME NOISE.
If we want to move that poison-filled needle AWAY from our children, we need to push the audio meter needle UP. The CDC’s website logged over 87,000 comments in opposition to the expected ACIP vote, and they ignored them. What do they care? They don’t serve the public, they serve the pharmaceutical industry. They’re not accountable to the people, they’re accountable to their back-channel bosses in the halls of power. Our words, thoughts, and lives mean nothing to them.
But at the state level, we still have a chance. Yes, state politics are corrupt. Highway contracts always go to somebody’s brother-in-law, and temporary tax increases somehow always become permanent. But state governors and legislators don’t live in the DC Beltway bubble, where they are insulated from the wrath of the people. State officials tend to live, and own businesses or practice law, in the communities they represent. However imperfectly they may serve their constituents, and however morally bankrupt they may be, they know the first rule of politics: don’t shit where you eat.
87,000 comments meant nothing to the ACIP. But that’s over 1,700 comments per state. Do you think that, outside of lost causes like California, New York, and New Jersey, state officials can simply ignore 1,700 comments about one issue, pouring in on one day? Better yet, what about 1,700 comments per day for a week? Two weeks? How long do you think it will take before they realize that, out of nothing but their own self-interest, they should protect our children as well as their own?
Now is not the time for self-pity or echo-chamber ranting. Now is the time to sit down at the computer and send an email to your:
Governor
State Representative
Mayor
City Council
County Administrator
School Superintendent
School Board (a separate email to every member)
Flood their inboxes. Tell your friends. The CDC says the state and municipal authorities don’t have to require the COVID shot? We need to make sure they don’t.
Use my letter as a starting point, or write your own from scratch. The important thing is to DO SOMETHING. Big Pharma and their pet politicians have twitter bots, paid shills, and astroturf advocates. But we are the grassroots, and grassroots does something astroturf doesn’t. It grows.
Well, it’s time to grow. Time to turn up the pressure, turn up the volume, and move the needle AWAY from our kids.
