Subject: ACIP - Children's Vaccine Schedule

Dear Governor [insert name here],

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding this week's decisions by the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to recommend COVID inoculations for children, and to add these injections to the Childhood Vaccines Schedule.

As a parent and a citizen, I would greatly appreciate your assurance that these products will not be required for children attending public schools in this state, for the following reasons:

1. The CDC and Pfizer have acknowledged that the shots do not prevent infection or transmission of COVID. Moreover, there is no evidence that they reduce the severity of infection in children, for whom COVID is less dangerous than the seasonal flu. Therefore, there is no public-health justification to require them.

2. According to current data from the American Association of Pediatrics, the vast majority of American parents have already decided that the risk/benefit of these injections is unfavorable. Less than 9% of children under the age of 5 have received one, and only 40% of children between 5 and 17 have received one (and many of those were because of school-attendance and college-entry requirements).

3. The governments of numerous European countries, as well as the Attorney General of Florida, have recommended against the administration of these shots to children. They did this based on a more rigorous analysis of the risks and benefits than that conducted by US Federal health agencies.

4. According to the CDC’s own data, the rate of excess death in 2021 was just as high as it was in 2020. However, due to the mildness of the Omicron variant, those excess deaths are not caused by COVID, they are caused by a myriad of ailments - primarily cardiac-related - which research has associated with the COVID shots.

5. Analysis of Pfizer’s data, the military’s DMED database, the Vaccine Adverse Effects Reporting System, and the V-Safe system shows that large numbers of substantial adverse effects have been reported following COVID inoculations.

Governor, we know these shots don’t prevent infection or transmission of COVID, and we do not yet know the full extent of the harm they cause. Prudence demands that we allow parents to make the decision about whether or not the COVID shots are the right choice for their children.

I greatly appreciate your consideration, and sincerely hope that you will use the authority of your office to protect the medical freedom of our state’s families.
