I woke up early this morning, and decided to screenshot every state in the 2022 election map and paste them together to show how the country looks when you break it down by county instead of state.
Okay, technically there is one blue state: Hawaii (not pictured) has five counties, and they all voted blue. Every other state, including California, has more territory held by Team Reality than by the Army of Death.
To be clear, I’m not a Republican fanboy. I’m a lifelong libertarian, and I agree with George Carlin’s observation that all of the ruling elite, regardless of affiliation, constitute “a big club, and you ain’t in it.”
However, as it stands now, Republican governors are our last line of defense against oppression by the Federal government. And, more importantly, the people who vote for Republican candidates are doing so in opposition to the anti-human agenda promoted by most avidly by the Democrats.
The good news is this: the Democrat majority is an illusion. If a war is coming (and many people are concerned that it is), we hold the high ground, figuratively and literally.
One solution would be a re-structuring along urban/rural lines. The major cities could become self-governing, self-financing "city-states", collecting taxes and imposing their "values" within their borders. The rural counties would re-organize into regional groups based on mutual interest, shared values, etc.
War? Do we even have the testosterone for a weekend skirmish?
